Spokane County's Future Should Never Come at the Expense of People Who Call It Home

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA – My position on data centers is simple: economic development should never come at the expense of the people who already live, work, and raise their families in Spokane County.

If a project threatens our water supply, increases utility rates for families and small businesses, strains our energy grid, or leaves taxpayers and ratepayers footing the bill, then I will not support it. Plain and simple.

I live in this community. I raised my children here, and now my grandchildren are growing up here. I want Spokane County to remain a place where our kids and grandkids can afford to live, raise families, start businesses, and build their futures.

That requires both a strong economy and a livable community. Economic development should benefit the people who live here, not force them to pay higher power bills or sacrifice the natural resources we depend on.

Under no circumstance will | support a project that jeopardizes our water, drives up energy costs, or diminishes the quality of life we have worked so hard to build in Spokane County. Our families and our future come first.
